Tim Green is a man of many talents. The covaledictorian at Syracuse University parlayed his intellect and his athleticism into a star career in the NFL and then became an author extraordinaire. His second novel for young readers, Football Hero, is an engrossing and entertaining look at the importance of family, character, honesty, friendship and effort.

Protagonist Ty Lewis idolizes his older brother Thane “Tiger” Lewis, a collegiate All-American football star who has just begun his NFL career. The younger Lewis heeds the lessons of his intelligent, fierce, loyal and loving elder as he begins his own journey toward greatness, on the football field and in life. The younger Lewis discovers that success on the gridiron is made possible through the development of the same traits that sustain him during a multitude of difficult times, including the tragic deaths of his parents.

A football hero stalks his opponent at all times and is relentless in his pursuit of greatness. From the snap of the ball to the echo of the whistle, a great football player expends every ounce of energy in his quest to prevail. The victory is revealed not so much on the scoreboard as it is exemplified by the just and moral choices he makes in life. The game is brutal; so is life. A football hero perseveres through and rises above the difficulties of each and becomes a true man of greatness. No matter your age, read this book and use it as a beneficial tool to become great!
